do you deliver the cake to my venue?

The short answer is yes! All of my wedding cake quotes include set up and delivery to your venue on the morning of the wedding. Wedding cakes are delicate, and most of my brides/grooms wouldn’t want the responsibility of carefully driving the cake to the venue on their big day. However, if the venue is very remote, we can discuss packaging the cake safely for pick up.

How far will you travel to deliver a cake?

As far as my client would like. I do charge an additional delivery fee for weddings outside of Glasgow and Ayrshire, but if you would like to order a cake and have it delivered to Arran, or Dumfries or Edinburgh, (or somewhere warm and sunny) no problem.

what cake stand would you RECOMMEND?

That is really up to my clients to decide, but I would advise the first step should be to check with the venue what style of cake stand they provide as standard. Some venues have beautiful stands available, but lots of them have stands that are not the prettiest. A show stopping wedding cake can be a big part of the styling for your big day, and it’s a shame to have something so beautiful (and often expensive) sitting on a sad plain table in the corner. So I would recommend thinking about table dressing such as accessories, florals and cake stand hire to make the cake display something extra special.

Do you cater to specific allergies and intolerances?

Yes, I will happily work with my brides and grooms to accommodate for allergies and intolerances. I have baked full five tier gluten free wedding cakes, and have had all of the necessary training to do this with confidence. However, I work from a home studio which does handle all 12 major allergens, so my cakes are only suitable for people with minor intolerances, not severe allergies.
